A new publication examining the reported experiences of bullying and harassment of employees in Northern Ireland was released at 9:30am today.
Key points
- Around 1 in 10 employees in NI reported that they had been bullied or harassed at least once in the last 12 months, significantly lower than in the UK (16%).
- Female employees (14%) were more likely to report having been bullied or harassed at least once in the last 12 months than male employees (10%).
- When comparing by age, there is little difference in the experience of bullying or harassment for employees in NI.
- A higher proportion of employees in the public sector (15%) reported that they had been bullied or harassed at least once in the last 12 months than employees in the private sector (11%).
