Health Survey Northern Ireland

The Health Survey Northern Ireland aims to provide a picture of the health of the Northern Ireland population. It includes questions on general health and a wide range of health related issues such as smoking and drinking, fruit and vegetable consumption, stress, exercise, mobility and the use of some health services.  The information collected is used to monitor the extent to which Government health targets are being met, and to help authorities effectively plan local health services.

The survey is commissioned by the Department of Health and the field work is conducted by the Central Survey Unit of NISRA.
