The Northern Ireland Childcare Survey asks for information directly from parents and guardians of children in relation to their childcare arrangements.
This survey, developed by NISRA in 2024, will assist with the collection of comprehensive information for the Department of Education (DE) providing an evidence base on which informed decisions can be made in relation to the department’s Early Learning and Childcare Strategy.
Although the Childcare Survey was commissioned by the Department of Education, a range of other government departments may make use of the findings of the research to inform policy
