Heading 2
You should start with a heading 2 here, and use structured headings throughout the page (especially if it is a lengthy page).
You cannot create this type of page yourself. If you need a taxonomy page created, contact Dissemination branch. Once the page is created, you can edit it and add further content yourself.
Adding an image and including alt text (heading 2)
All images/photos should have alternative text. To add an image, click on the media browser icon in the toolbar, select 'choose file' and navigate to the image on your computer and select 'open'. Upload the photo and select 'next'. Enter some alt text, title text (which appears when your mouse hovers over the image) and some optional caption text (which appears below the image). Select save and click on submit.
After you have uploaded the image, right click on the image and select image properties. Add some alt text, set the image alignment and the image size and select OK.
Creating a chart
Eileen will show how to create a chart page.
When you have created a chart page, select the easychart icon in the toolbar. Enter the title of the chart in the search box and select apply. Click on the chart and then click on select.
After you have embedded the chart, right click on the chart and select image properties. Add some alt text, set the image alignment and the image size and select OK.
Creating a table
To create a table, select the table icon in the toolbar. Enter the number of rows and columns, select the headers (either first row, first column or both) and set the alignment and add a table caption and summary.
Type of employment | 2010 | 2020 |
---|---|---|
Full-time | 15 | 19 |
Part-time | 7 | 10 |
All employment | 22 | 29 |
To change the colour of the shading, right click on the table, select cell and select cell properties. You can set the background colour and the border colour of the table. Whatever colours you choose, you will need to check that they meet colour contrast requirements.
Creating a table of contents
If you select ‘Enable table of contents’ at the bottom of the page, each ‘heading 2’ will be listed as an ‘anchor’ point in the ‘On this page’ section on the right-hand side.
