NISRA provisional, weekly, statistics on the number of deaths registered in Northern Ireland in the week ending 27 March have been published this morning. The Northern Ireland weekly deaths statistics have been extended to include information relating to respiratory and COVID-19 related deaths.
Overall, there were fewer deaths registered in Northern Ireland in the week ending 27 March than there have typically been in the same week in recent years. Nine COVID-19 related deaths were registered by the General Register Office (GRO) in that week.
