A new publication examining the self-assessed level of line manager support of employees in Northern Ireland was released at 9:30am today.
Key points
- Four out of five employees in NI (81%) agreed that they were supported well in their job by their immediate boss, significantly higher than in the UK (75%).
- A significantly higher proportion of male employees (83%) agreed they are supported well by their immediate boss than female employees (79%).
- Employees aged between 25 and 49 were significantly more likely to agree that they are supported well by their immediate boss compared to employees aged 50 to 64.
- Considerably more employees in the Construction industry agreed that they are supported well by their immediate boss than employees in each of the other broad industry groups.
