NISRA have published the outcome of their consultation on proposed changes to some of their statistical outputs.
The consultation, which ended on 15 October, sought views from users and stakeholders to help NISRA to address the financial constraints imposed by the budget settlement for 2023-24, whilst minimising the impact on users and stakeholders.
Nearly 70 stakeholders responded to the consultation including government and political representatives, voluntary organisations, businesses, academia, consultancy firms and individuals.
NISRA continuously seeks to evolve its services and outputs in response to user and policy need. As a result of the consultation, it has been decided that 10 outputs will be scaled back in frequency or content, six outputs will be suspended, while two of the outputs that were proposed for suspension will now be reviewed. A further five outputs will be delayed from their planned publication dates.
The full report on the outcome of the consultation, including users’ responses and actions planned, including mitigations, can be found on the consultation publication page.
NISRA are hugely grateful to the wide range of individuals, organisations and businesses which took the time to provide us with detailed consultation responses. The responses paint an affirming picture of the value which users derive from our outputs, and the high esteem they place on the products we release.
