Key points
Date of registration
- The provisional number of total deaths registered in Northern Ireland in the week ending 7 June 2024 (week 23) was 322, 36 more than the previous week. It should be noted that, due to a change in the server of the registration system which took place on the afternoon of Friday 7 June, there was a lower than usual number of registrations completed on that day which may impact the weekly total. It should also be noted that week 22 included a bank holiday with registration office closure, so comparisons with week 23 should be treated with caution.
