This research used the novel Earnings and Employees Study 2011. The research:
- presents new insights into gender pay disparities, including sector‑specific comparisons based on employee background characteristics;
- compares job-related and personal characteristics for male and female employees and quantifies gender pay gaps for a range of job-related and personal characteristics; and
- uses statistical modelling to identify key factors associated with gender pay gaps.
