Data includes Census 2021 estimates showing the movement of people from one location to another to migrate or work.
Census 2021 Flexible Table Builder update
An update to the Flexible Table Builder was published at on 3 April 2024. New variables such as approximated social grade, former occupation, and former industry were added along with new census Data Zone geography aggregations: Urban Status and 2011 Travel to Work Areas.
Customer requests
Our customer request function for census data, including Census 2021, is now open. Details on how to submit a request are available on our Census Commissioned Output page. The creation of commissioned tables is constrained by:
- available information
- availability of skilled staff to compile them
- any similarities to what NISRA has already released or plans to release
- statistical disclosure control
Please note, that we may apply a charge for this service, depending on what you need and how long it would take us.
Census 2021 self-service products
We launched our Flexible Table Builder on 22 June 2023. This tool allows users to look at topics that are important to them, as well as build their own Census 2021 custom tables.
We've also updated our census area explorer tool. View a range of Census 2021 data for Northern Ireland, Local Government Districts, and down to Data Zone.
