The Department of Finance (DoF) has today announced its intention to seek applications for the public appointments of up to 9 members of the Statistics Advisory Committee (SAC).
The SAC is a non-departmental public body of DoF, established under the Statistics of Trade and Employment (NI) Order 1988. Its function is to advise the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) and thereby NI Departments, on matters relating to the collection and disclosure of statistical information from businesses under the Statistics of Trade and Employment (NI) Order 1988; and to advise on statistical issues such as quality assurance, official statistics, and other similar matters referred to it by Departments.
There are no specific academic/professional qualifications required to apply for these positions. However we are looking for individuals with a diverse range of expertise and specialist knowledge who can make an effective contribution to our Committee, based on their skills and experience.
